Tioman Island
is located 56km off the East Coast of Malaysia. Culminating at 1040 meters,
it is surrounded by reefs, but no roads: with the exception of 2km at the airport.

| Size: |
Tioman is a relatively small island measuring only about 12 x 7.3
miles. It is approximately half the size of Singapore.
|
| Climate: |
The
climate is a typical tropical climate, it's hot and humid all
year round. The temperature rarely drops below 20C even at night,
and usually reaches 30C or more during the day. Humidity is generally
about 90%.
The Monsoon Season is between December and early February. During
this time there is a lot of rainfall and the seas tend to have
huge waves and swells making Tioman inaccessible during this time.

| General Features : |
Tioman Island is a Volcanic Island covered in rainforest. It is fairly rugged,
with little flat land, mainly limited to the coast. Much of its terrain is more or less
steply sloping and there are several large and often spectacular rocky outcrops/ Beaches
of white sand occur at several points, even by uninhabited areas. Theres a series of
peaks and ridges running along the central spine of the island, of which Gunung Kajang is
the highest point with an altitude of 1049 metres. Other peaks that you may see are : Batu
Sirau (747m) and Nenek Si-muka (659m)

We have 4 types of
chalets: - Standard, Superior, Deluxe and Lodge stay.
All rooms are sea facing with private balcony and are air-conditioned
with bathroom attached.
Each room can accommodate up to 4 person (3 adults or 2 adults
& 2 child).
It also includes tea/coffee making facilities and a cable television
except Paya Lodge.
The Superior chalet comes with a queen-size bed and
a double pull out sofa bed.
Deluxe chalets comes with a king size bed in the bedroom
(separated) and a double pull out sofa bed in the living room.
Standard chalet has a queen size bed and 2 single pull
out beds.
Paya Lodge is suitable for the budget conscious
travelling alone or in a group. Each air conditioned room comes
with 4 single beds and an attached bathroom.
