Tioman Island is located 56km off the East Coast of Malaysia. Culminating at 1040 meters,
it is surrounded by reefs, but no roads: with the exception of 2km at the airport.

Size: Tioman is a relatively small island measuring only about 12 x 7.3 miles.  It is approximately half the size of Singapore.

Climate: The climate is a typical tropical climate, it's hot and humid all year round. The temperature rarely drops below 20C even at night, and usually reaches 30C or more during the day. Humidity is generally about 90%.
The Monsoon Season is between December and early February. During this time there is a lot of rainfall and the seas tend to have huge waves and swells making Tioman inaccessible during this time.

General Features : Tioman Island is a Volcanic Island covered in rainforest. It is fairly rugged, with little flat land, mainly limited to the coast. Much of its terrain is more or less steply sloping and there are several large and often spectacular rocky outcrops/ Beaches of white sand occur at several points, even by uninhabited areas. There’s a series of peaks and ridges running along the central spine of the island, of which Gunung Kajang is the highest point with an altitude of 1049 metres. Other peaks that you may see are : Batu Sirau (747m) and Nenek Si-muka (659m)
